KIBOU is an ambitious neighbourhood restaurant business that is well known for its deliciously authentic Japanese food, vibrant interiors, friendly and professional service and imaginative bar offering. At KIBOU we strive to deliver a contemporary taste of Japan through our diverse and extensive menu of sushi and hot food, transporting guests to the eclectic streets of Tokyo the minute they step through our doors.

Our new site in Clifton Village will continue the legacy for KIBOU, and our new team will be pivotal to our success.

At KIBOU we strive to deliver a diverse and extensive menu through our sushi and hot food menu. We offer a true and authentic flavour of the region taking our guests on a culinary and sensory journey to discover the true taste of Japan.

All of our food is handmade or hand-rolled fresh in the kitchen daily, and our stringent sourcing policy ensures that we only every use the freshest, best quality and most authentic ingredients so our customers can enjoy a premium dining experience each visit.

We have a dedicated sushi kitchen offering an extensive selection of handmade to order sushi and sashimi.

Your role as Head Chef will be to manage the day to day running of the kitchen operations and the team, with motivation and commitment to deliver outstanding service. To lead a dedicated and enthusiastic kitchen team from the front to create a fun, authentic and original dining experience that will support the core values of KIBOU.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills we need:

Extensive experience in Japanese cuisine

Ability to recruit, train and develop effective and passionate teams

Proven track record of delivering sales growth through consistent food quality and service

Effective labour cost management

Track record of delivering budgeted food margins

Flare for creative and authentic menu development

Experience in running large teams of chefs

Ensure legal compliance and health & safety managed as required.
