Join us at KIBOU Cambridge for a one-night-only celebration of Japanese culinary craft, hosted in partnership with Kirin Ichiban as part of Cambridge Food and Drink Week.

Experience the live carving of a whole bluefin tuna, performed by our Senior Head Chef Jay Manglicmot and his expert sushi team. Learn about the different cuts and their unique textures and flavours, then enjoy them as part of a beautifully curated 8-course tasting menu.

Please be aware, this is a whole tuna fish carving experience, that will be performed under full view of all guests.
The Tasting Menu will served as detailed, with no substitutions for vegetarians or vegans available. We are also unable to accommodate the following allergies; gluten, egg, dairy, soy, sesame, mustard & fish.

A professional photographer and videographer will be capturing content during the Bluefin Tuna Ceremony for marketing and promotional use by KIBOU and Kirin Ichiban. If you would prefer not to appear in any images or footage, please speak to a member of the team on arrival.

Teishoku (定食) Japanese set menu available Monday to Friday from 12pm to 3.30pm for just £17.50pp.

Main plate + Sides + Rice + Soup

Dive into classics such as prawn tempura, chasu kushiyaki (pork belly skewers) or kabocha korokke (pumpkin croquettes). Served with a bowl of furikake rice, edamame beans, pickles, tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette), goma wakame, and a bowl of homemade miso soup.

Available from 12pm to 4pm every Saturday, enjoy a selection of Japanese small plates to share, plus an unlimited assortment of house nigiri, hosomaki and California rolls.

Priced at just £34 per person, the menu can also be enjoyed with an unlimited drinks package that includes a selection of Japanese-inspired mimosa (Yuzu or Cherry & Elderflower), Kirin Ichiban lager, prosecco, or house wine for an additional £21 per person. Or for a non-alcoholic alternative, you can opt for KIBOU’s favourite Rhubarb & Jasmine Fizz along with house sodas for just £15 per person.
